I am considering leaving my current job, working as an aide in one to one setting, because my client is often absent.

I am assigned to work as a one to one aide for a student who has a physical disability. The reason I got this job was that I wanted to help people; however, my student is absent multiple times a week. As a result, i only work 2 or 3 days a week. I have other qualifications for other jobs such as substitute teaching and EMT-B. I would like to try other jobs, but I feel that my student needs me. At the same time, I would like to work in a job that is more stable. What is advice that you can give me? Should I feel guilty leaving my client as long as I can give a two week notice?
