Currently unemployed and having difficulty getting interviews. Is it because I look too much like a job hopper and do I cover the current unemployment gap?
My job history goes like this with the most recent at the top:
Job #5: July 2015 - July 2018
Job #4 (Part-time on-campus experience during full time grad school; graduated in May 2015): Aug 2014 - May 2015
Job #3: Oct 2011 - Oct 2012
Job #2: July 2010 - Sept 2011
Job #1: May 2008 - July 2010
So I've been unemployed for 6 months since July 2018. Do I appear like a big job hopper? I'm currently helping part-time in a remote consulting role for my former manager who I got laid off with. Should I add job #6 like this below or will I look like an even bigger job hopper if I include this short-term stint that I've had so far and send out my resume like this? I'm really hoping to find a full-time, permanent job so any advice would be appreciated.
Job #6: July 2018 - Present (Consultant)
