Hey, everyone. I applied for a position at my dream company about a year ago, was interviewed, but unfortunately they decided to go with another candidate. They now have the exact same position available, for which I applied, but that was about a month or so ago. The issue is I'm miserable in my current position and the last time I went through the hiring process with this company it took about 3 months.
Would it be taboo or in bad taste to contact the recruiter who previously handled my interview process? Should I send an email or call? I want to show my interest in the position, but I don't want to be too aggressive and ruin my chances. My previous interviews went really well and I'm definitely qualified for the position it's just a matter of getting them to look my way.
Thoughts?
TL;DR: Is it OK to connect with a previous company recruiter for a new position instead of waiting for them contact you?
