Hi all. So I’ve just about finished interviewing for 2 different jobs, and for various reasons I’m pretty sure I have them the bag. I only have one interview left for one of the jobs.
The first position is as an Executive Assistant at a company that does work for the govt (contractor). I would be doing work for the contractor directly, not any govt agencies. I got a really good feeling from all my interviews there and that there’s a chance for me to move up (that I spoke about with one of my interviewers). Fast paced environment etc that enables that. Because of the shutdown and instability of govt jobs currently, I feel this is the safer choice.
The 2nd job offer is within my field of interest and is my ideal job. It’s a contracting position. However, it’s at a furloughed agency that’s stopped operations due to the shutdown. My interview tomorrow is my final interview with this agency. Would I be stupid (I’m guessing?!) to take on this position at this point in time?
Which offer would be smarter for me to take on in your opinion ? I’m a fairly recent college grad if that helps. Thanks in advance for any responses.
