Went for an interview and got knocked back.... but

I went for an interview and failed. But the manager who did the interview gave me some good feedback (that i did well on the technical aspects and that I’d get on with the team/work ethic of the company) I’d failed on some of the softer aspects of the interview and the engeering manager who’d done the interview left me a note explaining where I’d gone wrong and that I should reapply in 6 months.

The job seemed to be super interesting , well paid and in a industry I’d like to move into. I was gutted at this and didn’t really ask much of the HR rep giving me the news.

Is it worth calling the HR rep to ask him some questions or will I seem desperate and someone the company don’t want?
