I am gonna be as concise as I can. I have taught for 7 years. I currently have a job teaching K-3 Autism and it's drained me faster than I thought it would. Summers off is no longer as appealing. I just want to be happy.
Right now, I am a teacher, an after-school, at-home parent trainer for kids with AU, have led professional development to the entire Special Education unit of my district and am about to lead more professional development classes in the spring. I'm well respected in my field.
I want to get my graduate degree while I teach these last couple of years and am seeking advice on a field to get in to with my prior experience as a teacher and parent/teacher trainer. My math skills are shit. I am good at dealing with people.
I know it's super broad to ask you guys this with such limited knowledge about me and these short three paragraphs, but I have sheltered myself from the professional community these last few years and just focused on teaching. I didn't think I would be in the position I am in, but I am.
Thank you and ask questions if you have them. I plan on being super active in this thread.
