I am about to graduate college in the spring with a BBA. Unfortunately, I couldn't get an internship during my Jr year. As I am approaching graduation I am in fear of being unemployed. I wouldn't say my resume is terrible but I am having trouble landing interviews at internships or jobs. I have used my school's resources such as connecting with HR managers and taking their advice on things to edit. My GPA is currently 3.59, I currently work 2 jobs with one being a shift lead / sometimes filling in for my supervisor and the other is teaching chess, I also participated in a leadership club at school.
I am not sure what my resume or CV is lacking, this leads me to the question of:
Has anyone ever paid for a "professional resume" from sites such as Fiverr or Upwork? I have seen some good reviews and even had a professor recommend using these services.
Another question, most applications list CV as optional but is it honestly optional? Would taking the time to write a CV increase my chances of getting an interview?
For reference, I am in the Seattle area, my rejections from last year include companies such as tmobile, boeing, starbucks, fluke, microsoft, expedia, and a few startups.
