A little bit of background: I’m fresh out of college working construction management. I interned for ‘Company A’ for my entire college career (multiple internships in different cities). I was sort of stiffed by company A because I was waiting for a job offer and they kept telling me “next month next month” and then that turned into 3 months and so on. So I interviewed with Company B and things seemed great. It was great but I felt like Company A was home. I’m trying to go back to company A and I feel that they want me back and all. So my question is.. how much can I negotiate? I have a buddy that works for company A and he gets overtime (not common in construction management) so I want to try to get the same deal. Also want to try and get a higher pay than what Company A eventually offered me after so many months of holding out. Is it acceptable to negotiate that type of thing? How do I go about it? Let me know. I appreciate the feedback.
