Why are really essential jobs so underpaid? Police, firefighters, mental health workers, EMT, doctors and nurses (debt to salary ratio), social workers, therapists...the list goes on.
I could make more as a store manager of Starbucks then what I do in the mental health field in most positions. Lucky for me, I love what I do.
Anyone feel this disparity in work load to wage and expected care? Where are my human service workers at!
