So this job is not my dream job by any means. There are parts of my job I enjoy but a lot of my job is tedious, mundane and not very challenging (but crucial for the company). I have been at my current job almost a year. First real job out of college. At first things seemed really optimistic, I got my own office, I enjoyed what I was doing, wasn't too stressed, felt important to the company, etc. Now work is becoming more stressful, I feel my boss inadvertently puts stress on me. He doesn't want me to work from home (he does), even though he mentioned being able to when I first started and (I totally could), the entire building is being redone so I am losing my private office for an open area, "collaborative" environment (he keeps his office), he doesn't like me taking PTO around Nov/Dec because it's a busy time. He mentioned planning out my PTO so it's not all bundled up at the end of the year (is this normal?) Besides just moving to another job, how can I talk to him about my feelings? I know I am important to the company and he has expressed that. I wanted to work something out since I feel I am being "downgraded." Am I being unreasonable? I feel like I am losing some of the "perks" of my job.
