Last week, I graduated college with a B.A. in Biological Sciences from a respected university. Today I got a phone call from a company about 3 weeks after I applied. After about a 30 minute conversation, I was offered an in-person interview next week. Before my interview, I am required to fill out an "official application", which is a little more detailed than my previous application for the job, which was basically just my resume. So on this application, it is asking for my GPA, which is not good (2.5). I had a bad semester half-way throughout school and it was hard for me to rebound from it. Any advice on how to deal with this in the interview? It seems like it is not a huge deal considering I have already been offered an in-person interview, for a position that they immediately need filled. I was hoping it would never come up. The interviewer is actually an alumni from the same university as me, so I'm not sure if that is going to work in my favor or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
