Alright so I'm going to very frank. I make 100k living happily and working a stress free job. Wfh benefits everything is great.
Recruiters message me asking to interview for a "humongous" salary boost. Here is where it gets funny from my prespective. The hunognous salary bump they are talking about is only at a maximum, 50k. Per month that is on average about 4k, and after taxes here, 2k due to my tax bracket.
Now here is what I'm think and would like your input. I firmly believe that going from 6k after tax doing jack shit to 8k after tax doing real work long hours sounds stupid.
I tell this to recruiters and they get mad so easily. Who the hell are they trying to hire then, I ask?
They expect 10x the work for 1.5x the salary at most????
I told them 300k is what I'm looking for, because this more realistic in terms of work to salary ratio, and they say sorry we cannot do that. Well then, it's a gridlock.
Anyone have any feedback on this or if they feel the same way? I argue that 2k a month is not going to improve my life in any way. Zero.
