A few days ago I had an interview with a partner of a firm. I believe it went ok. This is for an internship. I was referred by the father of the partner of the firm. I sent out both thank you emails to both of them 24 hours after the interview. The Father who referred me to the position replied back the same day I sent the email with a response saying “thanks for the email. Heard it was a good interview.” while I’m still waiting on a response from the partner. Is it typical for employers to not respond to thank you email? Or maybe that they’re waiting out the hiring process to email me later with a decision? They said I’d get a response before thanksgiving although I was just expecting a response from my thank you email first. Is this a bad sign I may not have gotten the job?
