Jobs within a police department that require law enforcement certification (or not) that do not require police work

Hi all, I recently graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice and I want to work for a police department. The thing is, is that I do NOT want to be a police officer. I am highly interested in working for a local department, but I'm just unsure of what positions are out there. I have applied to clerk positions within my local department, but I have had no luck. Reddit, what do you recommend?
