Hi, i'll try keep this short.
Graduated 5 months ago and couldn't find work in the field I want to be in so joined a Big 4 consultancy. I have been "benched" and doing nothing for about 6 months now. Management is awful and every time I try to get involved, ask for work they just ignore me and don't really do anything. There are a TON of graduates here doing nothing and honestly, it seems like there are no projects for anyone.
I hate the field, it's boring and mind-numbingly dull. I've been belittled by not attending an optional event by managers despite being told it was optional. Nobody else I know got this treatment.
I've kind of had enough and feel that fresh out of University my skills are much better placed elsewhere, even in some basic ass admin job. I've been applying for new roles and honestly I know it is time for me to go.
Just kinda wanted Reddit's go-ahead for some reason. I don't like feeling that I'm being "stupid and young". I aspire for greater things and I have no motivation or morale to be here right now.
I've been looking for jobs, and have considered going back to academia too.
