Is it possible to find more valuable work (eg Waiting Tables) if you quit a less valuable job (eg Fast Food) quickly?

Like, lets say you land a job at a Wendy's. You end up quitting after 2 weeks. You put that work experience on your resume. Would it be possible to get a better job, at say, a cafe or a diner, if you do this? Just because you have the experience of working a less valuable job like retail or fast food? Would the amount of time matter for employers, or do you have to work a general amount of time for an employer to consider you, like, say, 6 months or so.
