I'm paid just short of 49000 as a pmo analyst but searching Google, pay scale says the average is 63. Is it ever acceptable to bring this up in a one-on-one meeting with my boss and ask how I can bump my salary up to that higher amount? basically, asking them what I would have to do to get a raise?
Because as I understand it, it seems to be more reactive rather than proactive when asking for a raise. Everything I've seen here is based on you coming to them after you've achieved something and telling them what you've done. This way I would be asking what I need to achieve
