I have been working at this firm for 4 months now, and I'm the youngest person here at 19yrs old. I'm an "intake specialist" along with another girl. This means I get calls, collect payment, and open matters for attorneys. I just submitted a request for a scholarship through my work to finish my associate/paralegal degree. Turns out one of our paralegals just turned their two weeks notice in, and I'm wondering if its possible for me to try to snatch that position. The attorneys all love me, and I feel as if they would vouch for me. They know I work hard and really try at what I do, and that I also am working to be a paralegal. My dad is a paralegal himself and told me the job isn't too hard and just requires the training. Should I try to go after this position? Is there a good chance I could possibly get it? I'm super driven and they know it. Do I really need the degree for it first, or can I do the work and get the degree along the way? Thank you for your advice and suggestions
Edit: I'd like to add that I am a very quick learner and my superiors have noticed and praised me on it
