I have an associates degree in criminal justice and have been in the field for 4 years but need a career change. I’m 23yo and could go back to school but it would only be part time. I’ve always wanted to do finance and have worked in sales and retail in the past.. I was looking at a personal banker position with Wells Fargo and think I may be able to meet the requirements... has anybody had any luck getting into the finance world without a degree in finance? I know the banker position is more of a retail banking position and is more sales oriented... In the end I would like to be a manager for a bank or credit union.
Any suggestions on certification programs? is a degree necessary? Is it possible to work your way up with a degree in a completely different field? Thanks!
