Former self employed individuals who moved to working for another, did you have difficulty moving into your new role or finding work?

I have a couple of career paths I am fortunate to choose from at the moment. My father has offered to bring me into his business as an owner and to eventually completely take over. It is a small business and the work is typically seasonal and tough but it is rewarding and can pay well. While I see myself doing it for some time I cannot tell the future and have thoughts about my future marketability if I were to sell the business and try to seek employment.

Any advice about how employers feel about an employee like this and any advice from employees who made the jump would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
