Clean energy consultant — is that Ponzi scheme?

Hi, I'm about to graduate very soon and I've recently started to actively look for jobs and I've noticed that some consulting companies that are promoting clean energy (as they say) have various open positions like 'Energy consultant' or smth like that; and here is the thing: they immediately would contact me as soon as I apply for the job. And that seems suspicious to me, I feel like there is something wrong here, are those companies doing smth like Ponzi scheme or they are really legit?
