What do recruiters look for when asking “why are you interested in this role?”

I’m applying for seconded role in a completely different area of the company I currently work for., there is no application pack to fill in, only 2 questions - the one above and “what will I bring to the role”. What is the best way to answer the 1st question? Do they want a gushing answer of how great their area is and how I’d love to join the team or something else? The honest answer would be that this role would get me out of my current department & is a step up in wages but obviously I can’t put that :D
