To start off, I work at a pizza company. Pretty big chain in the US.I’ve been employed here for over a year and a half, have been promoted, and was offered a second promotion I had to turn down due to school conflicts (I’m in university).
The work there is what you’d expect. Making pizza, customer service & making deliveries. My official job position (Head CSR) is inside only, however I do drive 1-2 times a week simply because my boss needs drivers and i need more money.
That being said... my boss. He’s nice, I guess, this is my first “real” job (I used to be a youtuber before this) so I don’t have anything to compare him to, though. He’s flexible to my school schedule, can often accomodate me needing sudden days off due to surprise homework assignments, and is okay with me taking substantial time off (1 week) before midterms & finals to study.
HOWEVER, he also has a nasty facebook habit. By this I mean he’s one of those people who has to post a status for absolutely everything, including work related endeavours. I don’t have him on facebook (but I do have him on Snapchat, where he often screenshots his statuses and posts them on his story) but it recently came to my attention he was not only making posts about me (and other employees) but directly namedropping me for his friends (often other GMs and coworkers) to see. In my case it was... mostly good, however today he went on a rant because I gave my 2 Weeks notice which I happened to give after being told to buy new pants for my uniform (which is fine, i get it lol) — and he assumed it was because of that (it was because had been keeping me 3 hours after my shift practically everyday for the past 2 weeks).
He namedropped me multiple times to coworkers, liked their comments saying rude things about me, and facilitated more drama. It got so bad a coworker & friend of mine commented saying how unprofessional he was being and then said /i/ was unprofessional (namedropping me again) for preferring to quit over buying a new pair of 20$ pants.
My friend approached me with screenshots of this post (and comments)- and says she has a whole folder of other screenshots of him doing similar things to other employees (both current and former). My question is this: Is this something we can approach his supervisor about? If we can, what do we even say, ‘my boss is vaguing & namedropping me on facebook’?
