I'll try to keep this breif. I"m 27 and never been at a job for over a year. Between working summers and sometimes in college I usually just worked 3-4 months at a time. I graduated college, worked for 10 months, left to travel, came home, worked for 10 months, and left to travel again. Now I'm back home.
I'm at a shitty minimum wage job because I'm depressed and don't have any experience. I work 5 days a week but never have consecutive days off. I wake up at 3:40am and the pay is shit. I've been there 5 months. I was just offered a job that gives me a monday through friday schedule, a pay raise (one more dollar per hour) and I'll get to sleep in about 30 minutes longer.
I'm hoping to get a "real" job in about 4-5 months that pays salary and has better hours. Would it be a bad look to switch to this better job for a few months before I get the salaried job? In the back of my mind I'm worried I might not get the salaried job (very competitve positon)
I'm also worried that someone will look at my resume and not trust me to stay at the job for more than a few months.
