Doctoral degree...any advantage?

Hi. I have a doctoral degree (its so specific and applies to nothing but the one field) but I hate my job now and the market is gonna tank anyway. Am I at an advantage for any higher paying positions out there that people might not think of right away? I thought of air traffic control but I'm not about to add to my loan amount. I got scammed. I can't even teach with this degree.
