Recently my co-worker had his position upgraded. The initial idea was that it would be a new classification since he was doing more outside of his job responsibilities. I was supportive of this. HR wanted to cut corners and threw out his job description and just gave him my job title, although it doesn't fit what he does. My boss still puts the most emphasis on me and my job duties over him and the administrative assistant. I'm kind of fed up with this in general, but even more so now that he has my title, yet isn't doing my job at all. He now is probably making around what I make or maybe even more.
Because of all this, I'd like to ask for a raise. How can I bring this up with her? What should I do as far as scheduling a meeting with her- to discuss what exactly? I'm trying to think about how I want to pitch this. I've worked here 2 years and haven't gotten a raise, so I definitely think I'm due anyway.
