I teach high school biology and have for 6 years. I also coach track and have for 10 years. I am currently considering a career change to medicine, specifically mid-level provider but that entails an almost 50% pay cut in order to get the experience hours. In the meantime is there possibly a different type of job my teaching skills and science background would lend well to? I do like education in theory, like the sharing of knowledge and helping students discover their paths, but I pretty much despise everything else about it. One consideration I also thought of is a sort of academic advisor, maybe specifically for athletes, at the college level. Is there any college type jobs I should be looking for?
