Advice for writing a cover letter when you don’t meet the exact requirements of the listing?

I’m applying to an internship where I meet most, but not all of the qualifications. I feel like skill wise, I am a great fit for the position, but I don’t have the “required” experience they mention on the job listing. My portfolio will hopefully speak for itself, although it might not be the same caliber as someone with extensive experience.

Anyhow, I feel like this is reasonable since all applicants will also be students.
