A week into a new job, amazing pay, new business line in an office. The work seems like it could be hugely beneficial, my co-workers are very different from me, would appreciate advice?
I posted here a week ago. I was very excited about this opportunity. I went from a finance focused job to an IT focused job for financial related products. I went to a work happy hour and very quickly realized most of co workers are far from anyone I’d normally be around in social circumstances and I have very little in common with most or all of the people I work with.
I haven’t gotten too deep into the work itself so I’m not sure if I will like the job itself.
The pay was a huge bump and I have an interest in the type of work. But I know the type of people you work with is a huge part of work happiness. I came from a world of very extroverted people to a very introverted world. Has anyone experienced this before and have any advice?
