Hey all, I’ve worked in various finance jobs over the years. It’s always tried to have a clear direction in terms of what I’ve wanted to do and have strived to move in a certain career direction in line with my views of the industry. My last job deeply underpaid me but I loved what I did and learned a ton, but I found a new job which is 3x the compensation; however, it’s taken me off my long term career trajectory in terms of where I want to be and what I want to do. I am currently learning very little and dislike the direction of the job—my boss is also a lunatic and I don’t believe I can follow in her footsteps or would consider her a true mentor (which I always seek in a boss). The job description is also very different from what im actually doing and feel misled. Should I hold out and accept the money in lieu of profession or try to look for another job again after just 8 months?
