Anyone else think that a lunch break should count as hours worked?

I work a basic 8-5 schedule, five days a week with an hour lunch, but I technically only work 40 hours. I feel like that one hour really adds up after a while, like 5 hours a week, around 20 hours a month that I’m not getting paid despite being in/around the office. Idk if this is an unpopular opinion or not but I’ve just been thinking about it
