So i live in ireland and booked a flights, accommodation and tickets for a rave/concert taking place in middle September in the UK back in early May.
When i booked everything, I didnt realise that the Friday and Monday that i need off were already fully booked out, so i put myself on the waiting list thinking surely the days will become available to take off as the place i work is constantly hiring new people which frees up time off space for others on waiting lists.
Well, we're now in August and im getting worried i wont be able get my time off that I've already asked for ages ago so im wondering what should i do to try get these two days off. Say im sick on the friday and monday even though it will look extremely suspicious?. Call my manager and explain the situation and hope she can pull a few strings for me? Any ideas would be helpful.
And yes, i know i should have probably checked to see if the dates i needed were already fully booked out or not prior to spending all this money on a rave .
