I’ve been at my current job for around 7 months . I am always picking up extra projects . ( I work retail merchandising and have one store I service by myself then I go to other stores if they have no rep and do work that’s behind ) . Anyway . So I told the higher up I couldn’t do a certain assignment, because I’m on a new medicine and need to take it easy for a week or 2. It’s around a 13 hour shift and I just need to get used to my new medication, well higher dose of what I’m currently on .The first couple weeks it gives you nausea , headaches and some “ bathroom “ issues . I guess the one other higher up didn’t get the message from the higher up I had spoken to . So she called me yelling at me , then sends me an email with HR copied on it basically telling me I need to be on leave until I’m done with the medicine . She doesn’t even know the issue or medication and it’s not something I’ll be able to stop any time soon .I feel her reasoning is that of it can have some side effects I shouldn’t be working at all . When it only gives you issues generally the first week or 2. She didn’t even give me a chance to talk just yells and then hung up . I have a second job that I could pick up hours at ( day labor place , so pick and choose daily assignments). If I quit this company I could just do that and continue my search for a second job , I just don’t know what to do.. im so upset
