So it seems this job search depression has evolved into a quasi bipolar disorder because I feel manic at the moment. I suddenly have an intense desire to do the impossible: beat out internal candidates. Currently, there is a job I really want and after doing some LinkedIn sleuthing, there is a 98% chance that this guy who already works in the department will apply. Don’t ask how I know but, I know.
So yeah, I want to beat him (for the job of course lol). As improbable as it may seem. I won’t lie; at my most recent job, I watched them interview people for positions we all knew someone in the department would get it (and they did each and every time). There are definitely odds but I want to beat them. There’s got to be some way, right?
