I am working with a recruiter based in my city. They have a position that looks like it was made for me, it is honestly a perfect fit for my background, and i would be a huge asset to the company. It’s 60 miles away, about an hour and 10 minute drive.
The recruiter also has a position somewhat closer, in a different industry, but i would probably still be well suited for it. I don’t think I’d enjoy it quite as much, but the pay is comparable (accounting for difference in commute). Benefits are unknown. It’s only 30 miles away, but into a major city, so I’m looking at a 45-50 minute drive (minus traffic, could be worse with rush hour).
Recruiter seems intent on pushing me towards the technically closer one, even if the commute will likely be the same time if not the same distance, and either way I’m fine with a long commute.
