Hello all I received a conditional offer from Tiffany & co … it was conditional since I needed to pass the background check which included employment verification which I couldn’t verify since I lied on my resume about work history … now that the background check company is asking for 1.) W2’s or 1099 & or
2.) an authorized employee to verify work history (put down an employee name and email) (not sure if they need an hr person)
I’m wondering how I should go about this situation … (wait to see what they request from the reference I put)? Or just contact Tiffany and should say what? I can’t continue/withdraw ?….
Because I do not want this lie to be on my record when other companies run background checks
I am ashamed since all hope is lost for this job and it sucks since I could’ve had it
Lesson learned back to the drawing board
