I made my biggest mistake so far at work, and my boss was pissed. Should I apologize (again) the next time I see him, or not bring it up at all in the future?

I work front desk at a hotel, and I'm about two months in (with the first two weeks being strictly composed of the mandatory, but ineffective, digital training module). Being so new, I still make mistakes here and there, but today I made by far my worst.

My boss told me not to assign a particular room to any guests, as he was repairing the sink. Normally, in this case, we would set the room in the system as Out of Order so it can't be assigned at all, but I guess he didn't want to do that and then have to undo it a few minutes later.

As I was checking guests in, I was kind of on autopilot and assigned that room. My boss came to the desk and was pretty upset. I apologized profusely and told him I'll make sure it doesn't happen again.

Should I tell him I'm sorry for the mistake again tomorrow? Or would it be better not to bring it up?

Thanks.
