Not the game, but being kept there. I applied to an education company, received an invitation to video interview the next day, submitted a video interview, then was asked to do a Zoom interview. I thought it went well. I had follow up questions, emailed them to the main person who interviewed me, and talked with her over the phone a week ago.
There were a couple of questions asked during this informal call. Where did I see myself in 5 years, and what was I looking for with regard to salary. My answers- I make 5 year plans, especially since covid, and gave her my current hourly rate. Note - I have over 32 years experience in my field and have a doctorate. I am at the top of my pay grade in my work.. This position would be basically a promotion going from public to private sector.
She told me she would let "everybody" know their status for the job by May 28. Still no word. I have to solidify a place for the fall relatively soon- like, by the end of the week. At the same time, I really want this job, but I feel that she thought my salary expectations were unreasonable. What advice do you have for me - hold on and wait, look for another job, contact the interviewer and tell her thanks for the chance to interview? TIA.
Tldr: I haven't heard if I got a job, what should I do?
