So this post is sort of an update of my last post? I applied for the Subway in my extremely rural area, there's actually 3 who all share the same operations manager. You see, I don't own a car and I live 20 miles away from the nearest town. I don't have the money right now and i'm super desperate for a job. So, I rely almost exclusively on this area's fixed route bus system. (Would allow me to work 9-3/4 depending, Mon-Sat) I brought this up during my interview when we were discussing scheduling. It was flat out rejected and said it wouldn't work out. I've inquired this in other interviews and also to potential employers posting in the area. Even the factory job in this area hiring 20+ people said it wouldn't work out. I literally have no other choice than to be fixed to these hours. I'm really stressing over it. Every job I've applied to is minimum wage. I just need the work. I'm 21 and I have no job experience whatsoever. I've also been told because I'm this old and have no experience, I have absolutely no say in negotiating hours. My family is not helping me at all. In fact, they're leaving for a long trip for Alaska soon so there's no chance of them driving me. I just really need a job. I'm at the end of my rope. At this point I feel I'm doomed to rot away in this town.
