I was recently promoted and my new role includes hiring additional employees and I have no idea what I'm doing.

Not sure if this is allowed here; I apologize if not.

I was recently promoted to Head of Security for the facility I work at. Security was previously hired/interviewed/fell under by the general office manager, but the company felt it would be more efficient to have an actual security person in charge of security. I received the promotion, and am now in charge of hiring, training and scheduling guards, writing reports, etc.

The only aspect that I don't know what I'm doing is the hiring: I have never been in a position in which I made the call on hires before. Of course I know what I want to look for as far as experience, as well as personality, but I don't know anything about interviewing - what questions to ask and basically everything else; or how to attract quality candidates. Please leave any tips you may have. Much appreciated.
