I would like to leave a company after only a week. How do I explain this to HR and the director? (I am still on probation obviously)
so, I decided to quit this place before I waste any more of their time training me. Some of the main reasons why I want to leave is because I was forced to stay there late every day on my first week, but they do not pay overtime. The whole first week felt like a few months. They poured so much work on me and expected me to learn the ins and outs of the companies fast, but the director of the department I'm in complained I was "too slow".
Everything I've been doing at this current company can be automated, but for some reason they want people to manually do all the order processing, invoices, updating inventory, etc. None of these are skills that align with my future goals.
Is writing an email enough? Do I need to physically be there to tell them?
