I have had plenty of problems at my job at an italian restaurant. I just don't get along with my one boss.
They hired a younger kid, and are obviously trying to phase me out. The writing is on the wall. But I show up to work EVERYDAY, in a professional manner. I don't let the actions of my boss get me down. I try to be kind and professional.
But tonight I feel different.
During my shift, things got slow, and I was told to go into the back storage room, and put away the new shipment of food. I agreed, and went back. I did my job and did it well.
I go back to the main restaurant...only to find out that my boss and his partner ordered chinese food, for everyone but me... They didn't even bother to ask me if I wanted anything. I watched them pass out sushi, and completely ignore me. Like I wasn't there. Like I was invisible. They didn't apologize or explain themselves. The ONE time he orders food for everyone...they don't ask if I want any
Now, am I overreacting? Would you be upset? They didn't even care about me. Out of sight, out of mind...I guess.
