I had to work most of my life since highschool, and was on my own since my senior year. I never had an opportunity to go to college, so I'd bounce around from customer service and call center jobs. I really love working with people.
I've always had fancy titles for what I'd do, and even got a few years of management experience, but I dont make much and this last job was just brutal and I gained about 40lbs from the stress. I didnt do well, and Im being let go. Theres a good chance I won't be able to collect unemployment. Im just looking for a low-stress job thats pays a few dollars over minimum wage to pay the bills, so I can study for more opportunities.
I'll be living with my fiance and her family soon, which will atleast cut down a lot of expenses, but I need to find another job. Ive tried applying at the usual jobs, customer service focused roles at stores and call centers, but I haven't been hearing much back.
I was going to live off some of my savings for a month, and if things didn't work out, I'd contact a temp agency. Are there places that are common in most towns that I'm just not thinking of that would be good places to apply to?
