I graduated early from Northwestern University at the end of 2019 with a strong GPA and was lucky enough to land a decent internship at an internationally-recognized entertainment organization in February of 2020. I worked there until operations shut down due to COVID, and I've spent most of the year quarantining and working as a freelancer and in part time positions near my home while waiting for companies to begin hiring again.
I'm seeing new internship opportunities opening up, but most if not all of them are saying that you have to be enrolled in school. Should I apply anyway? The prior internship I worked at had the same requirement and yet I was hired despite having graduated already.. I'm just not sure how to proceed. This is a very strange year, and maybe companies will take that into consideration with their candidates?
