Are all American applications this repetitive?

Hello,

I'm from the UK and applying to work for an American company in their UK branch. The online application seemed normal enough: Upload my CV and cover letter. Then the fun started.

I had to go through an agonizing experience of re-entering all my C.V and covering letter data across multiple pages, including providing phone numbers for employers that aren't a referee? The online portal parsed my data into the fields, completely incorrectly which was hilarious and the data formats were all American, so it just made up new start/end dates since in blighty we go day/month/year not month/day/year.

Reasons for leaving, phone numbers for everyone, line manager name, check boxes that utilise 'null' for yes? Maximum of four entries despite wanting a no-gap history...

The company I'm applying for is a world leader in producing biomedical devices yet the HR portal was nothing but double lifting and inefficient. I wanted to just ignore everything but obviously, don't want to shoot myself in the foot. Surely the employers will look at the attached CV and ignore this parsed nonsense?
