Hierarchy: Manager>Supervisor>me
So I've been in my position in about a year and a half and was just emailed by my manager with an appointment for my first evaluation next week. The attachment is a PDF of my evaluation filled out by my supervisor. It was filled out by my supervisor alone and no discussion about it was made with me.
I read through it and while I agree with some of his points, I feel like a lot of his comments are either something I already addressed and improved 6 months ago, or an assumption of his part (he's very old school, hates phones, I am approved by my department to use my phone for work which I do to take notes, email, data collect etc) like he wrote that I use my phone too much, or just something that's never been brought to my attention (I wear ear buds for music and hearing protection when I'm operating equipment all day and it does not interfere with my work) and is not against policy. He also glossed over the positive parts of my performance and barely mentioned my accomplishments. The overall rating as below expectation, which I disagree.
Should I address this with him directly before the actual evaluation, or contact the manager, union representative or HR?
Thanks
