Hi all! So I recently got a job at a hospital as the patient access associate in the emergency department. I just register patients & verify all of the information. On top of that, I also register babies in for L&D and admit patients when needed. I thought everything was okay until every.single.employee started telling me how bad the company treated them. Then, I was told that I had to complete 40 courses for training PLUS a week of instructor-led classes, 5 hours a day. I wasn't explicitly told about this, and the sad thing is that I don’t get paid for it. On top of that- I’m in school. Now, I have emailed my manager with no reply regarding compensation. I know she has seen it because she has texted me in between the time of emailing her. The manager has texted me inappropriate things about another employee. I have another job during the week & this job is only every other weekend. I started to get experience in the healthcare field, but things just continue to go downhill from there. Two employees have already left. Would it be wrong if I put in my two weeks with only being there for two months? If so, should I put two-month employment on my resume or say forget it? I have honestly learned SO much, but I don’t know how much more I can take from a shit company.
