Hey all - I’m sorry if this doesn’t go here. I’m feeling really guilty right now and I guess I’m just looking for someone’s thoughts on this. I am employed at an amazing FT salary job and I am not looking to leave, but I have been looking for a weekend job just to fill my empty weekends. I passed the phone interview for a retail store near my house for weekend position. I have been trying to set up an orientation date for weeks because I felt really guilty if I had PTO to attend this orientation so I’ve been trying to get them to give me a late evening time or weekend so it’s off work hours.
Anyways I took a couple days off this week so me and my bf can go for a short getaway at a nearby state. I took off monday & Tuesday & Wednesday. They called me to ask if I can attend a Wednesday orientation and it’s their last call for a while. I said sure - I can easily rebook my tickets to come back Tuesday night instead of Wednesday night. Then I realized I basically took a day off to attend a orientation. And I’m feeling guilty and anxious as hell. I don’t want my boss to think I took the day off just for the orientation - I love my job and I don’t want to lose it. So I guess I’m really just trying to figure out - would she be able to find out if I don’t tell her ? How bad does it look? Should I just back off the weekend position? Sorry if this sounds dumb I’m just really anxious right now lol
