Interviewed for a job two weeks ago. I had been told about the position and encouraged to apply by the director after a happenstance conversation (I reached out to the program trying to find resources for a client and ended up learning about an awesome job opportunity).
I became really nervous for the interview, but felt confident that I would be a great fit. At the end of the interview I was given the heads up that they are still looking and interviewing so it may be awhile, which is fine as I’m currently employed. Today I checked the company’s job portal and saw the following update: ”pursuing other candidates who possess the background and experience that best fits the position”
I’m pretty sure it means I’m out of the running. But then I read it over, and maybe over and over, again and wondered if maybe it means they are continuing their search but I’m still being considered.
Please, someone, anyone, weigh in.
