My company just told us they're closing for 3 weeks in 2 weeks time.

I confirmed back in June if my start up company closes for Christmas. I was assured they didn't.

I've now received an email that were closing for three weeks from the 18/12 - 11/1 unpaid.

I asked if I could continue working as I'm five months pregnant and don't have the money to just take three weeks off. I was told no and that due to COVID impacting other industries (which I don't understand since our country has all but dropped COVID restrictions due to low numbers of infections) they had to close.

I now literally don't know what to do. We aren't pay cheque to pay cheque, but I can't just not be paid for three weeks.
